Jorge Masvidal's convinced Conor McGregor doesn't want anything to do with him following the announcement of the Irishman's comeback UFC fight against Donald Cerrone.

McGregor is set to face Cerrone in a welterweight bout at UFC 246 on January 18 in Las Vegas. It'll be his first fight in over two years and Masvidal believes he's running scared from him.

'The Baddest Motherf**ker of the Octagon' took to social media to react to McGregor's bout with Cerrone by liking two damning posts.

"He doesn't want anything to do with Masvidal," one social media user wrote while another said: "Smart. He'd get wrecked."

McGregor, who hasn't fought since UFC 229 back in October 2018, teased a fight with Masvidal.

"I'll go at anyone on that list," he replied to a post asking fans what fight they wanted to see McGregor and Masvidal involved in.

To which Masvidal responded by saying: "Put your money where your mouth is I'm the only 1 #1of1 #theresurrection."

Masvidal's enjoying the most prolific run of his MMA career following knockout victories over Darren Till and Ben Askren as well as a stoppage win over Nate Diaz earlier this month at UFC 244.

A super-fight between Masvidal and McGregor has been mooted and could be on the cards for summer 2020.
