Jorge Masvidal Hits Back At Kamaru Usman For Saying He's Not Deserving Of UFC Title Shot
Jorge Masvidal has threatened to break Kamaru Usman's face when they fight after the UFC welterweight champion said he's not deserving of the next title shot.
Usman dismissed Masvidal as a potential opponent after defending his title against Colby Covington at UFC 245.
'The Nigerian Nightmare' isn't impressed with 'Gamebred' while claiming Leon Edwards is a more deserving contender.
"Eh. Who cares?" Usman said about Masvidal. "Honestly, I'm being honest, if you talk about a guy who is deserving of a title shot, it's Leon Edwards... This guy hasn't lost since he fought me.
"Has been fighting tough guys. He's in the same position that I was in over a year and a half ago and that's when guys recognize that you're tough and they don't want to take that gamble of fighting you and having you step over them. He's a guy who I know is tough, and I recognize his talents for sure."
Masvidal has since responded to Usman's damning assessment and he hasn't pulled any punches.
"When I fight Usman, I'm going to break his face," the BMF champion said. "He can't hang with me, he's too one-dimensional, he's not skilled and he sure as hell ain't tough.
"I'll be able to get a lot done that I want to get accomplished, and that's it. Then I'm done." Masvidal added. "That'll be 19 professional years in [MMA], even I have to graduate at some point."
UFC president Dana White admitted that a title clash between Usman and Masvidal would be "massive".

Usman's currently undefeated inside the famed Octagon and riding a 11-fight UFC win streak.
Masvidal, on the other hand, is enjoying the most prolific run of his MMA career following victories over Darren Till, Ben Askren and Nate Diaz.
