Khabib Nurmagomedov has earned just a third of the money longtime rival Conor McGregor has over the last year.

The lightweight champion and McGregor have had bad blood for years and while Khabib came out on top in the octagon in 2018, the 'Notorious' dominates financially.

Forbes have listed Khabib's earnings as £13 million while McGregor's earnings stands at a whopping £39 million.

Khabib still manages to top Forbes' list of richest Russians below 40 meaning he is still incredibly well off.

McGregor established himself as one of UFC's biggest box-office draws during his career and his comeback fight against Donald Cerrone in January earned him £25 million.

His partnership with Reebok also netted him an additional £4 million while various business ventures such as Proper No. Twelve whiskey have kept the money rolling in.

Despite McGregor's retirement, he reignited the duo's feud yesterday with claims about Khabib's father.

Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov was hospitalised in May after suffered a stroke caused by coronavirus complications, with the 57-year-old still in a serious condition.

Despite this, nephew Abubakar posted a since-deleted image of McGregor being choked out by Khabib at UFC 229 with the caption 'This is when the coronavirus and you can't breathe.'

It didn't take long for the former 'Champ-champ' to see the post and he unloaded in the comments section.

Per RT.com, the Irishman said: "I figured it was all just a cover up about Abdulmanap.

"A cover up to hide the lack of activity and the pulling out of fights and running away. Good luck but remember - Allah sees all!"

McGregor had previously offered his support to the Nurmagomedov family after the news of Abdulmanap's condition broke.

Khabib's manager Ali Abdelaziz had his say on McGregor's comment and called him "the lowest scum on this earth" in a now deleted tweet.
