Conor McGregor has given fans a new look at his ridiculous physique ahead of a legacy-defining trilogy bout with Dustin Poirier in July.

'Notorious' suffered a shock defeat to Poirier at UFC 257 back in January and is desperate to get back to winning ways.

The duo will go at it again on July 10 at UFC 264 in a fight that is probably for all the marbles. It's an opportunity McGregor can't afford to miss.

Recent images uploaded to Instagram show the Irishman in fantastic shape and looking more focused than four months ago.

Both posts have captions, with the first reading: "The work doesn't stop. 8 weeks, let's go!"

While the second states: "Hard work is my bread and butter!"

Despite claims he is more motivated than ever, some think McGregor's time in the spotlight is over.

He hasn't won consecutive fights since 2016 and his sole victory since then came against Donald Cerrone in January last year.

McGregor has his eyes on the welterweight division and has gone back and forth with champion Kamaru Usman in recent months.

But Colby Covington unleashed an astonishing attack on the former 'Champ-champ' earlier this month - dubbing him 'washed up'.

'Chaos' told MMA Fighting: "He's the laughing stock in the MMA community and even to casual fans because they're just like, 'Conor's washed up. He's done.'

"He made all that money with his whiskey, he made all that money for the [Floyd] Mayweather fight, he has no motivation.

"Nothing gets him up early in the morning to go fight. He tries to say it's for his kids but man, the guy's done. He has nothing left in the tank."

Another man McGregor continues to prod is Khabib Nurmagomedov, despite his retirement.

Nurmagomedov is one of McGregor's fiercest rivals and he recently aimed a series of tweets at the Russian.

They have since been deleted, but accused Nurmagomedov of being homophobic.

In reference to their showdown at UFC 229, he said: "I wasn't holding his shorts! I was ramming my fingers up his homophobic ass.

"And just look at this happy face here. He loves it. He's a fingers in the booty ass bitch."
