Conor McGregor's incredible body transformation since losing to Khabib Nurmagomedov has been posted online and it shows he is in his physical prime right now.

The Irishman was outclassed by Nurmagmedov in the main event of UFC 229 back in 2018.

He will take on Dustin Poirier at UFC 257 next month and one fan has pointed out on how much better 'The Notorious' looks right now.

@McGregorRousey has described the 32-year-old as being a 'new animal' with an image of McGregor in September 2018 next to an image of McGregor in December 2020.

With a shaved head and more defined muscle tone, it's clear to see the former 'Champ-champ' is in a better place physically.

Fans have reacted to the images and they think 2021 could be when McGregor takes his place atop the UFC once again.

Nurmagomedov retired from UFC in October but is still technically the lightweight champion.

UFC president Dana White is convinced he can coax the Russian out of retirement, but Nurmagomedov thinks the winner of McGregor vs Poirier on 'Fight Island' will be the next champion.

"Top three [lightweight] fighters right now?" Nurmagomedov said per MMA Fighting. "Poirier, McGregor and [Islam] Makhachev. He is not in the top-five yet, but those are the best fighters.

"My belt will be taken by the winner of Dustin and Conor."

No official announcement has been made regarding McGregor vs Poirier being for the title.

McGregor is a former lightweight champion while Poirier is a former interim champion.
