Jorge Masvidal Open To Fighting Conor McGregor After Call-Out

Jorge Masvidal is interested in fighting UFC superstar Conor McGregor if he does return to the sport.

McGregor, 31, is set to make his eagerly-awaited UFC comeback on January 18 in Las Vegas against an unnamed opponent.

He announced his return at a press conference in Moscow, where he also expressed his desire to face the winner of Masvidal vs. Nate Diaz.

And Masvidal, who faces Diaz for the BMF title at UFC 244, is willing to go to battle with the Irishman.

Speaking at the UFC 244 media day, the Miami-fighter said: "I'm just hearing him, I'm not seeing him.

"If he comes back and fights whoever he fights and wins and wants to fight me, of course, I'm gonna fight that guy. Just like I'm going to fight Nate.

"Nate's a huge draw and he also brings the dollar bills. Conor is the same as a fighter. He might not be the toughest guy, but he's a hell of a fighter. And he brings in millions of dollars

"So, of course. I'm going to fight that guy. It's a no brainer. But is he fighting? I don't know."

Masvidal continued, saying he has the utmost respect for McGregor who has accomplishment many achievements inside the famed Octagon.

"Conor has done amazing things in the sport," he added. "And I always try to give credit where it's due.

"He's got two belts. He's got the fastest knockout [in UFC history] with the title. He's done a lot of great things. But as of lately, he hasn't competed in a while."
