Jon Jones has finally responded to Israel Adesanya's underwhelming victory over Yoel Romero at UFC 248 and he's not impressed.

Adesanya beat Romero by unanimous decision to defend his UFC middleweight title in a lackluster main-event bout earlier this month in Las Vegas.

And, unsurprisingly, Jones is unimpressed by what he saw from the 185lb king in his win against Romero.

When asked for his thoughts on Adesanya vs. Romero on Twitter, he replied: "Yoel is almost 10 years older than me and almost won that fight Without using his wrestling. That's all I'll say."

Adesanya's victory moved him to 19-0 (8-0 in the UFC) and the 30-year-old aimed a dig at Jones while calling for a showdown at middleweight.

"Who gives a f**k about weight? I've never given a f**k about weight. It's never ever been an issue for me," he told Submission Radio.

"I've been a heavyweight in boxing, in kickboxing and I'll do it again in MMA, so it's never been an issue about weight.

"He can try to run to heavyweight, but I'll chase him down, I'll hunt him down if I have to.

"Let him go to heavyweight. Right now, I'm working at middleweight. Let him come, he can step the line if he comes to middleweight, but I'm sure he can't do that because his frame won't let him.

"So, let me do my work, shut the f**k up and I'll come see you when it's time."

Will a UFC super-fight between Jones and Adesanya come to fruition in 2020? Watch this space.
