Huge Fight Set To Be Added To UFC 249 As Dana White Tries To Build The 'Baddest Card Ever'
A huge heavyweight clash between Francis Ngannou and Jairzinho Rozenstruik could be added to the stacked UFC 249 card.
UFC president Dana White has revealed that he's working on rescheduling Ngannou vs. Rozenstruik for UFC 249 as he seeks to build the 'baddest card that's ever been done'.
Ngannou vs. Rozenstruik was supposed to headline this Saturday's UFC show until the coronavirus outbreak cancelled the event.

White is now looking to add the highly-anticipated fight to UFC 249 which is slated for April 18.
"We're building a card where people can still maneuver and still get in," the UFC boss explained.
"We're trying to build the baddest card that's ever been done in the history of the sport. Some of the things are going to work out, and some of the things might not work out."

He added: "We're trying to figure out if they don't, what do we do? Actually, Francis [Ngannou] is one of the guys we're looking at, too. Yes, yes, yes [against Jairzinho Rozenstruik]."
Francis Ngannou was tested for the coronavirus late last week, and results were negative. Told me today, "I have a good chance to be on [UFC 249]. They are trying to check every fighter to see if they are healthy. I assume that's what they are doing for the potential fight card."

Ngannou, meanwhile, says he has been tested for the coronavirus and spoke about potentially fighting at UFC 249.
"I got tested. They got me tested for COVID-19," he said. "I guess they tested all the fighters, too, which is kind of like a positive thing. Make you feel a little bit safe to get along with those people.
"There's a chance that I can be fighting on that card. But you know they have to settle everything down.
"For now, it seems like they have a location but they still have to double check and see how they can handle this event safely for people. Because first of all, they're not just expecting to put people there fighting. They're also trying to make things to care about our health."
