UFC president Dana White is furious with referee Herb Dean's performance during Marcos Rogerio de Lima vs Ben Rothwell.

The UFC Vegas 42 co-main event lasted just 32 seconds when de Lima unleashed on Rothwell to secure a TKO win.

Seconds before that stoppage, Dean stepped in to end the contest before reversing his decision to everyone's confusion.

White was asked about the incident in his post-show presser and said: "Herb needs to stop touching guys unless the fight's over."

"He goes in and grabs him by the waists, and decides, oops, maybe I . ... The good thing about this was, the fight should have been stopped when he stopped it. You didn't see Ben jumping up and arguing about it.

"He's gotta pull the trigger and stop touching guys - don't touch them unless you're going to stop the fight.

"When they played it back in slow motion, he's kind of like, dancing, like he doesn't know what to do, whether he's going to jump in or not jump in. I like him personally - he's a nice guy.

"But he's got to stop touching people until he's ready to stop the fight."

Elsewhere on the card, Max Holloway defeated Yair Rodriguez by unanimous decision in the main event and it caught the interest of Conor McGregor.

The Irishman is currently recovering from a broken leg suffered in a loss to Dustin Poirier earlier this year as he targets a 2022 comeback.

One man he's interested in running it back with is Holloway, who he defeated in 2013.

McGregor decided to share a video of himself watching the fight on Saturday night while pacing around his hotel room.

'Notorious' has his back to the camera throughout and keeps his eyes focused on Holloway at all times.

He even performed his own 'staredown' while topless and sporting what appears to be a shaved head.

What was likely intended to be intimidating wasn't received that way however and the 33-year-old ended up deleting the video hours later.
