Dana White Posts Meme About Cursed Khabib Vs. Ferguson Fight Amid Coronavirus Outbreak

Dana White has posted a meme about the possibility of Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Tony Ferguson of being postponed amid the coronavirus outbreak.

Nurmagomedov faces Ferguson in a highly-anticipated UFC title fight at UFC 249 on April 18.

It's the fifth time that they've been matched against each other following four cancellations since 2015. Freak injuries and weigh-in mishaps have prevented the two lightweights from fighting each other in the Octagon.

And the UFC president appears to have come round to the idea of Nurmagomedov vs. Ferguson being in risk again.

He shared a popular meme on social media with "What if Covid-19 cancels Tony vs Khabib" as the caption.

White, meanwhile, was asked about the pandemic illness at the UFC 249 press conference last Friday in Las Vegas.

"When it comes to safety of the athletes and the fans and everything else, no matter where we go or what we do, we're always concerned," he explained.

"We've been thinking about this for weeks. (UFC) Dr. (Jeffrey) Davidson has been involved. I don't know what else to say other than that."

But he shut down rumours of the promotion cancelling the Brooklyn event.

"We're not cancelling the event," White added.

Saturday's UFC card in Brasilia, Brazil, will go ahead as a behind closed doors event.
