Dana White believes he has a UFC superstar on his roster in the shape of "special" Khamzat Chimaev who scored two big wins in 10 days on 'Fight Island'.

Chimaev set an incredible UFC record for the fastest time between Octagon wins with two victories in 10 days over John Phillips and Rhys McKee.

He earned a post-fight bonus for both of his dominant wins and glowing praise from the UFC president who hailed the undefeated phenom following his impressive showing last weekend.

Speaking about Chimaev, he said: "The guy is unbelievable; just incredible. Any guy who wants to stay active, who wants to keep fighting, I love that.

"I just love it. He's a guy who wants to fight and doesn't care who it is.

"He just wants to stay active and to me, that's the way guys should think.

"He's special. He's a super talented guy and his confidence is through the roof. He truly believes he's the best in the world.

"His quote tonight, literally, was 'Give me whoever, I'll smash everybody.' I love that mentality."

Chimaev boasts an 8-0 professional MMA record with all his victories by stoppage. He's finished five of those wins in Round 1.

And the Swedish welterweight, who fought Phillips at middleweight, was cocky as ever during his post-fight interview.

"Of course, it easy for me. I born from this country when I was kid, it was war in my country. Everyone know Chechnya, like before how they was. I like to fight in the cage, and smash someone, it's too easy. Too easy.

"Smash someone. Get money, brother. It's perfect for me."

The 26-year-old continued by selecting Khabib Nurmagomedov as the best pound-for-pound fighter in the UFC, but insists he'll take over.

"Yeah, I think he's pound for pound number one. He's 28 wins? Yeah. But soon... I'm going to be pound for pound number one. I'm gonna be champion," he added.

"I have eight fights, eight finishes. I destroyed everybody. I'm going to do this. Next fight also."
