Dana White has confirmed that the UFC Apex in Las Vegas will start hosting fights next month amid the coronavirus crisis.

The company's new multi-million dollar production facility will soon serve as the promotion's main location for live shows.

"We built the Apex facility next door just in time to save the day from this pandemic," White told Variety.com. "Live fights will be produced out of there starting next month and for the foreseeable future."

Nevada is currently under a stay-at-home order for non-essential businesses until April 30, but the expectation is that it could lifted in time for the UFC to stage some shows in May.

And White could put on multiple events during the week in order to complete 42 shows in 2020.

The UFC have cancelled four shows, including UFC 249, due to the global pandemic, but White remains desperate to go through with his scheduled cards.

And, of course, fight island is still in play with White close to securing a private site for fighters to train and fight.

The UFC, meanwhile, are looking to get back to business on May 9 and the rumoured card for the event looks seriously stacked.

Some of the targeted fights include an interim-lightweight title bout between Tony Ferguson and Justin Gaethje, a bantamweight title fight between Henry Cejudo and Dominick Cruz and a featherweight showdown between Amanda Nunez and Felicia Spencer as well as Francis Ngannou vs. Jairzinho Rozenstruik and Anthony Pettis vs. Donald Cerrone, among others.
