Dana White was left bemused after Shane Young ignored his handshake to perform a Haka at the UFC 253 weigh ins.

Young will face Ludovit Klein in a featerweight clash on Saturday night and he took to the stage prior to weighing in.

The New Zealander performed the Haka, a traditional dance of the Maori people to commemorate the occasion and prepare himself for war.

UFC president White extended his hand to the 27-year-old, who ignored it while focusing on his opponent.

Fans have reacted to the incident and they think White's reaction to an up close Haka was priceless.

It wasn't the only incident that caught White off guard at the weigh ins.

Israel Adesanya and Paulo Costa didn't get a chance to square off properly as tensions bubbled ahead of their middleweight title clash.

Costa wore his black belt to the weigh-in and decided bring a present for his rival.

The Brazilian reached into his pockets and removed a white belt, which he proceeded to launch at the 'Last Stylebender.'

Adesanya then caught it and threw it back at his opponent before White was forced to diffuse the situation.

Both men made weight, with Adesanya coming in at 184lbs and Costa at 185lbs respectively.

Costa had worried fans days before the fight after showing off his muscular frame on social media, but weighing in it didn't prove to be an issue.
