Dana White Angrily Fires Back At Colby Covington For Threatening To Slap The UFC Boss

Dana White has described Colby Covington as a "big mouthed f**king idiot" in a fierce response to the UFC fighter threatening to slap him with the belt.

Covington, who faces Kamaru Usman for the welterweight title at UFC 245, threatened to hit White with the belt if the boss straps the belt on him.

"I can tell you who's not wrapping it around my waist, and that will not be Dana White," the ex-interim welterweight champion told Submission Radio. "If he tries to wrap it around my waist, I'm gonna take the belt from him and slap him in the face with it."

'The Baldfather' has since responded to Covington's comment and, naturally, he didn't pull any punches.

"Good luck with that," he said following UFC on ESPN 6 on Friday night in Boston "He's a big mouthed f**king idiot."

White and Covington continue to feud and their public dispute stems from last year when the 31-year-old was stripped of the interim-title after failing to fight then-champion Tyron Woodley.

Their ongoing beef escalated when Covington confronted White at the Palms Casino in Las Vegas and interrupted his blackjack game, while broadcasting the footage on social media.

They also butted heads in negotiations for UFC 244. Covington was slated to face Usman, but a fight failed to materialise after the American was unable to reach terms.

However, Covington will finally get his shot at a UFC title when he faces Usman in Las Vegas on December 14.
