Conor McGregor made a statement during the official UFC 257 weigh-in, stepping on the scales first as he hit the championship limit.

McGregor weighed in at 155lbs ahead of his eagerly-awaited UFC comeback this weekend.

He looked strong and in phenomenal shape as he made the lightweight limit for the first time since his title bout against Khabib Nurmagomedov back in October 2018.

On the scales, 'The Notorious' shouted: "That's 1-5-5. Championship weight!"

McGregor's opponent, Dustin Poirier, also made weight - tipping the scales at 156lbs.

The non-title lightweight showdown between McGregor and Poirier is official ahead of their main-event bout at UFC 257.

Dan Hooker and Michael Chandler also successfully made weight for their co-main event clash.

The Kiwi slugger and the UFC newcomer both hit 156lbs.

Speaking prior to the UFC 257 weigh-in, McGregor's coach John Kavanagh spoke about his star pupil's "phenomenal" shape.

"He's on target. Weight is something that weighs on our mind," he told SPORTbible.

"So, for the last couple of months he's had certain targets to hit every few weeks and he's been spot on the whole way through.

"We're anticipating a very gentle and easy water weight cut, but he is in phenomenal shape - mentally and physically."

On his mentality, he added: "I liked [Max] Holloway's quote that this is shaved-head Conor. It's all business!

"I don't remember the last time seeing him like this and he's very excited about it. A busy year. Let's focus on this one, we're not looking past Dustin, but I'm anticipating a busy year."

McGregor's Octagon return is just a couple of sleeps away. What's your prediction? Let us know.
