Conor McGregor Desperate To Break Unique Guinness World Record, Explains How He'll Do It

McGregor explained: "I plan to set the Guinness world record for fastest time to lap Ireland by power boat.

"The boat that holds the record currently was man built - pretty cool boat but I am going to take that record handy. 4000bhp [break horse power] powering a full carbon vessel. It's a wrap hahaha."

The Notorious shared a glimpse of his new purchase last week and the speeds it can reach are frightening.

In footage posted by the 33-year-old, you can see the £2.7 million vessel in action.

The caption read: "There's the lambo. Going sideways at 120km an hour. Ones a house to live on. The others a super car of sea. To rally on."

McGregor spent the weekend unloading on former rival Khabib Nurmagomedov in a series of now-deleted tweets.

He said: "There are real champions that go hard on everyone. They don't care (about) the money.

"Of course, it's an important aspect, but he has the competitive spirit.

"So, there's no way Aldo is having a second peak. You can try to prove it all you want, but I've been through this. I know better than you. You're a journalist, and I'm a fighter."

It saw McGregor respond with: "You sh*t your pants of [Donald] Cerrone your whole career. You pulled three times from [fighting] him. Your father, god rest his soul, could not believe his eyes the way I beat Cerrone. You disrespect Cerrone and now Aldo too? You ran away. Shut up.

"Another press conference? Haha for what? You are doing a whole load of nothing mate. You and Cerrone were locked in to fight since way back and you never had the courage. You ran away and now all you do is talk like b*tch. Aldo is 100 times the fighter you are, and ever will be."
