Conor McGregor has announced a "martial art sparring" charity bout against UFC star Dustin Poirier for December 12.

And the Irishman appeared to confirm the match against the American on social media.
"Martial art sparring match in aid of charity. Dublin, December 12th 2020. Free to air spar. McGregor vs Poirier," he wrote on Twitter, accompanied with a poster of the potential event.
"List of chosen charities available soon. All donations welcome," he added.
McGregor and Poirier first fought at featherweight at UFC 178 in September 2014 with 'The Notorious' securing a first-round victory.

The former UFC double champion hasn't fought since beating Donald Cerrone in January.
'The Diamond', meanwhile, last fought in June when he outpointed Dan Hooker at UFC Fight Night in Las Vegas.
