Dana White has savaged Tyron Woodley's chances ahead of his boxing bout with Jake Paul, pointing out that he "hasn't won a fight in three years in something that he's actually supposed to be good at".

The UFC president is no fan of YouTuber Jake Paul's reinvention as a celebrity boxer, particularly since he started targeting ex-UFC fighters such as Ben Askren (who Paul knocked out in one round in April).

Now Paul is boxing Woodley at the end of August and White has absolutely trashed the former UFC champ, pointing out he's lost four MMA fights while also pouring scorn on the supposed purses the pair are earning.

"I keep not wanting to do this," said White, who's said he'd rather not talk about Jake Paul fights but is continually asked about them.

"(But) Tyron Woodley is 40 years old. He hasn't won a fight in three years, in something that he's actually supposed to be good at. And now he's going to go box. How do you sell that fight?"

Woodley is actually 39, but he hasn't won a fight since losing his UFC welterweight championship to Kamaru Usman in 2019 as his form in the Octagon nosedived.

However White is clearly angry at Woodley's claim that he's getting a higher payday for this, his professional boxing debut, than he did for any of his UFC fights.

"I've been hearing that bulls*** forever, they're all full of s***," White said per MMA Mania. "What's he making? Exactly. If it's that much money and he's so proud of how much it is, how much is it? They're all full of s***."

Jake Paul has taken pot shots at the UFC before, telling White to pay his fighters better. But White has countered that he simply doesn't believe the numbers pay-per-view numbers reported by the likes of streaming platform Triller.

White did, however, stick up for Logan Paul's bout against Floyd Mayweather, claiming he believes the Showtime TV PPV figures.

"Jake didn't do a million [PPV buys]," said White. "His brother did a million. Him and Floyd did a million.

"Last time we did a press conference I told you all that Triller stuff is a bunch of bulls***. They're lying, their numbers aren't what they claim. [Logan and Floyd] really did that number, that's a real number. They did that. Jake didn't do that. Logan and Floyd did, and good for them. That's a real number, they really did that, and good for them."

White initially praised the choice of Woodley as an opponent for Paul, as he has greater striking experience than a pure wrestler in Askren. But it seems he has very much changed his tune in the light of Woodley's payday claims.
