MMA And UFC Fighters Ranked From 'GOAT' To 'Not A Fighter'

UFC legends Jon Jones and Georges St-Pierre are amongst the MMA fighters to be classed in 'GOAT' status.

SPORTbible used TierMaker to rank a handful of different MMA fighters, both past and present, from 'GOAT' status to 'not a fighter.'

Joining Jones and 'GSP' in receiving a nod for the 'GOAT' of MMA are Anderson Silva and Chuck Liddell, who recently caused a stir by suggesting he could beat boxing legend Mike Tyson in a street fight.

Below GOAT is the 'legend' tier and features the likes of UFC superstar Khabib Nurmagomedov, former two-division world champ Daniel Cormier and UFC star Nate Diaz.

SPORTbible also created a 'future legend' category and it boasts names like Israel Adesanya, Darren Till and Francis Ngannou.

Controversial as it might seem, a TierMaker wouldn't be complete without a handful of fighters landing in an 'overrated' tier.

Ronda Rousey might be widely regarded as a pioneer for women in combat sports and a UFC Hall of Famer, but brutal back-to-back defeats to Holly Holm and Amanda Nunes has seen her drop into this category.

And no doubt other controversial picks that were placed in the 'overrated' tier included Conor McGregor, Brock Lesnar and Ben Askren, who announced his retirement from MMA on Monday.
