Jorge Masvidal has called for a second bout with Nate Diaz after he claimed to be "the P4P baddest motherfucker".

Diaz was responding to Conor McGregor after the Notorious revealed his four greatest MMA fighters on Twitter - predictably putting himself at the very summit.

'The Stockton Slugger' then made the claim he's the pound for pound BMF but of course Masvidal was quick to remind him of the result when they met in the UFC 244 main event.

The hard-hitting duo went to war inside the Octagon and it was 'Gamebred' who had the BMF championship belt placed around his waist by Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson after the doctor ruled Diaz could not continue after the third round.

After bringing up the result of their November bout, Masvidal expressed his interest in the two slugging it out again in the future after the disappointing finish to their first fight.

Masvidal has regularly stated he would be willing to have a rematch with Diaz, though Dana White said he had "no interest" in booking a second encounter.

At the time, White said: "No, it doesn't interest me right away. I think that I got asked a couple of questions tonight. 'Diaz comes on in the later rounds. If this fight had gone later, would they have stopped it?'

"But it didn't. It got stopped with cuts and Masvidal looked very dominant. And he looked good."

McGregor and Diaz recently fuelled talk of a trilogy bout when they went back and forth on social media, though White poured cold water on that being in the works.

"No," White said when asked if McGregor-Diaz III was on the cards at the UFC 249 post-fight press conference.

Um... I mean, they don't like each other. But there's nothing going on.

"Conor wants to fight. I don't even know if Nate wants to fight. I think they're just talking s**t to each other."
