Jorge Masvidal has reacted to Nate Diaz claiming he won't be competing in their BMF title match at UFC 244.
Diaz took to Twitter to issue a lengthy statement claiming he will not be competing at the event after test results highlighted "elevated levels" from what are said to be "tainted supplements".
The Stockton Slugger said he was innocent as he only consumes natural food supplements and doesn't eat meat but stressed that the fight is off unless the situation is resolved by UFC and USADA.
His opponent Masvidal, however, leapt to the defence of Diaz and says the 34-year old is clean as can be.
There's been no official comment from UFC at the time of writing but the word from MMA media is that Leon Edwards is the leading contender to replace Diaz if the fight is indeed off.
Conor McGregor, who revealed his interest in fighting the winner of the BMF title fight on November, was incredibly quick to react on Twitter after seeing the news.
He tweeted the following, before swiftly deleting it:
