UFC star Nate Diaz delivered arguably the promo of the decade when he fully called out Conor McGregor in an expletive-filled rant in 2015.

The 34-year-old Stockton native had returned to the octagon after a year out to fight Michael Johnson.

After securing a unanimous decision victory over Johnson, Diaz cut an incredible post-fight interview with Joe Rogan as he set his sights firmly on McGregor.

The 'Stockton Slugger' said: "F**k that. Conor McGregor, you're taking everything I worked for motherf****r. I'm gonna fight your f*****g a**e.

"You know what's the real fight, what's the real money fight -- me.

"Not these clowns that you already punked at the press conference. Ain't nobody wants to see that.

"You know you can beat them already. It's an easy fight. You want the real s**t. Right here."

Diaz would have his shot against McGregor in 2016 and the two UFC stars would enter into a heated rivalry.

And the trash-talking McGregor mocked his rival in the build-up to their first fight during an infamous interview, which even forced Diaz to storm off during the live TV segment.

Diaz would walk away with the ultimate bragging rights after he stunned the MMA world by beating McGregor in Las Vegas at UFC 196.

But the 31-year-old Irishman would avenge his defeat a few months later at UFC 202 in Las Vegas.

The 'Stockton Slugger,' who suffered a controversial doctor's stoppage defeat to Jorge Masvidal in November, has ruled out a potential third mega-fight with McGregor.

"No, I'm not interested in it at all," Diaz told Ariel Helwani's MMA Show in June.

"I'm interested in winners. He lost his last fight, and I won my last fight.

"You think I'm trying to fight someone who just got his a**e beat all over the place?

"I'm a black belt in jiu-jitsu, that s**t wouldn't happen to me. Real jiu-jitsu, Gracie jiu-jitsu."
