Khabib Nurmagomedov Asked Who Is The Best Pound-For-Pound Fighter In UFC Right Now
UFC legend Jones, 32, ended 2019 on top of UFC's official pound-for-pound rankings ahead of lightweight champ Khabib.
When he was asked who is UFC's best pound-for-pound fighter, Khabib simply responded: "Jon Jones."
And the 31-year-old Dagestan superstar's response was met with applause from those in attendance.
Jones has only lost once inside the octagon as a result of a controversial DQ decision in his 2009 clash with Matt Hamill.
And 'Bones' also had his KO victory over Daniel Cormier in their second fight overturned to a 'no contest' after he tested positive for turinabol.
Despite his controversies in combat sports, Jones is widely placed in the same conversation as fellow UFC legend Georges St-Pierre as the best fighter in MMA history.
The current light heavyweight champ fought twice in 2019 and successfully defended his title against Anthony Smith and Thiago Santos.
However, Jones has only fought once in 2020 after successfully defending his title against Dominick Reyes at UFC 247 in February.

UFC president Dana White has insisted that there is "no debate" over Jones' status as the GOAT of MMA.
"Listen, there's no debate," he told ESPN.
"Jon Jones is the GOAT. Jon Jones is the greatest to ever do it.
"There's no debate about it if you look at what the guy has accomplished, and what he was doing while he accomplished these things. You know what I mean?"
Jones has remained firm on his position as the best fighter the sport has ever seen and dismissed the idea that Khabib could be considered the MMA GOAT over him.
When Jones was asked what separates him from the 'Eagle,' he responded: "If you were to ask some MMA experts about myself and Khabib, I think most people would be able to tell our resumes are completely different.
"I've fought so many world champions that I've defeated. Khabib, a lot of his victories are against a lot of people that are relatively unknown.
"I've been fighting legends since I was a young man."
