A YouTuber has painstakingly documented the incredible change of landscape in UFC's pound-for-pound rankings since its inception.

Dana White's MMA organisation debuted the rankings back in February 2013, which are based on how members of the media cast their votes.

And YouTuber SBN MMA has walked through the UFC pound-for-pound rankings per year and how they drastically changed after certain fights.

Anderson Silva was top of the pound-for-pound rankings at the beginning of 2013, with Jon Jones and Georges St-Pierre second and third respectively.

But fast-forward to later that year and UFC legend Jones would climb to the No 1 spot, with Silva tumbling to seventh and 'GSP' dropping entirely out of the top 10.

UFC Hall of Famer Ronda Rousey stormed into the rankings in early 2014 and is the only woman in the male-dominated list by the end of the year.

Rousey, who finished seventh in 2014, would continue to rise in the standings in 2015 and would be ranked an impressive fourth that year.

However, the 33-year-old MMA legend's shock defeat to Holly Holm at UFC 193 in November would see her crash out of the top ten.

Former UFC featherweight champ Jose Aldo was top of the rankings in December of that year, but that reign would end with his clash against Conor McGregor at UFC 194.

McGregor's sensational first-round victory would send Aldo crashing down five places in the rankings, while the Irish superstar skyrocketed an incredible nine spots up to third place.

Posted below are how the pound-for-pound rankings looked from the end of 2013 up to early 2019.

Daniel Cormier would lose the top spot in the rankings last year as fierce rival Jones climbed to the No 1 position.

However, ESPN recently knocked the 32-year-old UFC light heavyweight champ off the top of its pound-for-pound rankings.
