MMA Fan Asks Khabib Nurmagomedov To Punch Him - He Accepts And Drops Him

Imagine getting hit by a professional fighter. It would hurt, right?

It definitely would. But what if the person delivering the punch was UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, the technically gifted Russian who has beaten the likes of Conor McGregor, Rafael dos Anjos and Dustin Poirier over the years.

Well, this brave (or stupid) fan wanted to feel the power of the Dagestani destroyer in the form of a body punch to the stomach.

Needless to say, he immediately regretted his decision.

At the time, the undefeated Nurmagomedov was sitting on the sideline as he nursed an injury.

A botched weight cut prevented him from competing for the interim lightweight against Tony Ferguson at UFC 209, and while the 31-year-old continued to train ahead of his anticipated return, he was clearly having some fun in the meantime.

The pair did hug it out at the end of the clip but seriously, that must have hurt.

Nurmagomedov, who beat Dustin Poirier last year at UFC 242 to retain the lightweight crown, launched an attack on rival Conor McGregor, stating that his last opponent was "far tougher" than the Irish fighter.

He also said Poirier was "a very serious" opponent.

"Poirier is physically strong. I didn't expect him to be that slithery," said the 28-0 fighter.

"I was well prepared for his guillotine choke and even allowed him to grab neck making him spend his energy and power. But I needed to recapture the initiative. Poirier turned out to be a very serious opponent, by far tougher than McGregor."

Khabib has also explained the difference between himself and McGregor.

"I have a big, big fire inside and I want to be the best fighter in the world, not the best fighter from my country, but the best of seven billion people," he said.

"Everywhere I go a lot of people come and take pictures and talk, it's a bit of pressure.

"Most of the time I don't like it, I don't train to be really famous, I train for fights with the best fighters in the world.
