UFC president Dana White says he will NEVER force his fighters to have the Covid-19 vaccine amid the NFL's stance ahead of the upcoming season.

The NFL have made it compulsory for all players to get the jab should they wish to participate in the 2021/22 campaign.

But the UFC will NOT make the jab compulsory to their fighters despite New York's protocols.

They have set out a list of mandates in the state that require proof of vaccination for sporting events.

So, UFC's proposed show at Madison Square Garden in November could lose a fight in the shape of Michael Chandler vs. Justin Gaethje, with the former Bellator champion not yet vaccinated.

However, White insists he won't force anyone on his roster to get the jab in order to compete inside the Octagon.

He told TSN: "I would never tell another human being what to do with their body.

"If you want to get vaccinated, that's up to you. That's your choice.

"You're never going to hear me say I'm going to force people to get vaccinated. Never gonna happen.

"I think a lot of people are doing that, they're telling you in New York [City] you can't go into a restaurant or a gym unless you're vaccinated and can prove it and things like that.

"Some people are getting fired if they don't get vaccinated.

"That's not going to happen here [in the UFC]. If you want to get vaccinated... get vaccinated. If you don't, that's your decision, your body."
