UFC Superstar Conor McGregor Teases To Fans Exactly What They Can Expect In Dustin Poirier Fight

UFC superstar Conor McGregor has made it clear that he is focused and will deliver a flawless performance against Dustin Poirier in his hotly anticipated MMA return.

The 32-year-old Irishman made his sensational UFC comeback last January with a stunning 40-second TKO victory over Donald Cerrone at UFC 246 in Las Vegas.

However, McGregor stunned the MMA world only six months after the Cerrone fight as he announced his retirement from combat sports again.

The 'Notorious' ended his short-lived retirement last November when he officially signed his fight deal to face Poirier in a rematch at UFC 257 on 23rd January.

McGregor has since taken to Twitter to promise fans they can expect to see a "masterpiece" when he returns to the octagon.

The former featherweight and lightweight champ tweeted: "I promise a masterpiece."

McGregor has been sharing clips on social media of him training hard as he has undergone a remarkable body transformation since his 2018 defeat to Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Speaking of Khabib, UFC president Dana White revealed that the 'Eagle' would be the perfect opponent for McGregor if he wins at UFC 257.

"When I fly out there, Khabib's going to be there, too. So, I'm going to meet with Khabib while I'm there," he said.

"In a perfect world, if Conor wins this fight, I would love to see the rematch with him and Khabib. It's the fight that makes sense."

The UFC chief has also fired out a stern warning to streamers should they attempt to access UFC 257 illegally.

McGregor fought Poirier at UFC 178 in 2014 and sealed a TKO victory in the first round of their fight in Las Vegas.

Poirier, 31, bounced back from his 2019 defeat to Khabib at UFC 242 with a victory over Dan Hooker at UFC Vegas 4 in June last year.
