Conor McGregor took a swipe at arch-rival Khabib Nurmagomedov's style of fighting in a tweet since deleted by the Irishman.

The Notorious fighter loves a wild social media post and on Wednesday he decided to rank some of the best moves in MMA history, including his own wicked left hand.

He praised Anderson Silva's front kick, Ronda Rousey's armbar, Mirko Cro Cop's high-kick and Jon Jones' kick to the knees to name a few.

But McGregor then turned it into a dig at the UFC lightweight champion and the man who submitted him back in October 2018 when he wrote: "Khabibs little mermaid leg wrap thing he does".

It was by no means McGregor's most controversial tweet but the post has since been deleted by the former two-weight world champion.

Even in quarantine McGregor continued to take shots at Khabib. Last week, he even tried to join the Dagestani fighter's Instagram live video - popping up in the comments and demanding to be added in.

McGregor wrote: "Add me in" on the comment section, though Khabib refrained from doing so for obvious reasons.

McGregor did also go after both Khabib and Tony Ferguson on Twitter after their UFC 249 bout was postponed for a fifth time - coronavirus being the cause of the latest postponement.

He claimed the two men who were meant to compete on April 18 were playing a game of chicken.

McGregor made an emphatic return to UFC by making light work of Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone in January but you just know he's desperate to avenge that humbling defeat at the hands of Khabib.
