Conor McGregor has been arrested for alleged indecent exposure, according to reports.

The retired UFC fighter has been in the French region of Corsica with his fiancee Dee Devlin ahead of a scheduled 180km charity voyage across the mediterranean sea.

He was set to partake in the event alongside Charlene, Princess of Monaco in a bid to raise awareness for water safety, but has now had to withdraw.

However, AFP news agency say the Irishman has been taken into custody today following a complaint that was filed on September 10 - alleging he was responsible for "acts that could be described as attempted sexual assault and sexual exhibition".

A statement from the prosecutor read: "Following a complaint filed on September 10 denouncing acts that could be described as attempted sexual assault and sexual exhibition, Mr. Conor Anthony McGregor was the subject of a hearing by the police."

As per one of the Notorious' representatives, McGregor "vigorously denies" the accusations made.

"Conor Mcgregor vigorously denies any accusations of misconduct," a representative for McGregor told TMZ Sports.

"He has been interviewed and released."

Yesterday, having spent a fair amount of time in the area and been in attendance for the Tour de France cycling event, McGregor took to Twitter to reveal USADA, UFC's drug testing committee had turned up to his yacht despite him claiming to be retired from mixed martial arts.

The two-weight world champion then proceeded to tag former opponent Nate Diaz, who he recently called out alongside his brother Nick.
