Cody Garbrandt came up with a knockout of the year contender in his victory over Raphael Assuncao at UFC 250 last night.

'No Love' made an emphatic return to the Octagon in the co-main event at the UFC Apex facility in Las Vegas, when he put his opponent away right on the buzzer at the end of round two.

Garbrandt was pegged back against the cage but displayed some superb head movement to slip before catching Assuncao flush on the jaw with a brutal right hook.

An absolutely stunning way to win the bantamweight bout for the former champion, who scored his 10th KO/TKO in MMA and picked up his first victory since claiming the title from Dominick Cruz in December 2016.

It ended a three-fight losing steak for Garbrandt, who lost consecutively to TJ Dillashaw before falling to a defeat at the hands of Pedro Munhoz at UFC 235.

Garbrandt's beautiful stoppage was the second bantamweight bout to feature a brutal one-punch knockout after Sean O'Malley put Eddie Wineland to asleep earlier on in round one.
