Chuck Liddell came up against a whole host of huge opponents during his Hall of Fame career, including the likes of Tito Ortiz, Randy Couture and Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson.

But the one light heavyweight he wishes he could have stepped inside the Octagon with is current UFC champion Jon Jones.

The 50-year old former UFC light heavyweight champion was asked the burning question during Q&A session on Twitter and he opted for 'Bones' - along with a breakdown on how he would have proved problematic.

"I think I would have matched up well with him, style wise," Liddell wrote.

"I would have given him trouble because it would have been very hard to take me down, and I would have been landing some insane power punches during my prime. I also have a longer reach than my stats detail."

Liddell, who had 23 fights in UFC and was inducted into the promotion's Hall of Fame in 2009, has a habit of explaining just how fantasy fights would play out.

Incredibly, he's gone on record to say he'd beat former world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson if the two legends of combat sport had a brawl in streets.

"In a street fight, I'd win," Liddell said.

"I mean, he's got a puncher's chance. He's got a chance to catch me coming in. But other than that, it's over."

Liddell would reaffirm his stance on how it would go down between he and Iron Mike on Twitter back in November.

Tyson has yet to respond to the claims.
