Shogun Rua's flawless destruction of Rampage Jackson is even more brutal through the eyes of the referee.

The referee's head-cam gives MMA fans an incredible first-person view of Shogun's superb victory over Rampage back at PRIDE Total Elimination 2005 in Japan.

The referee took to the ring wearing a head-cam and captured the entire bout from his perspective.

The footage gives us a unique and fascinating insight into the clash as we watch the Brazilian and American go toe-to-toe inside the iconic PRIDE battleground.

It shows Shogun battering Rampage as he delivers one of the most vicious beatings in MMA history.

He lands a flurry of blows including a series of knees and soccer kicks.

MMA fans loved the angle from the referee.

"Loved that ref cam. Shogun was an absolute animal before blowing his knees," one social media user wrote.

A second tweeted: "I wanna sign a petition to bring back ref body cams, I really like the angle to see fights from that view."

A third added: "Why tf doesn't ufc does it! And now we have even better cameras!"

Shogun went onto win the PRIDE 2005 middleweight grand prix. He took out Antônio Rogério Nogueira (Lil Nog), Alistair Overeem and Ricardo Arona to claim the coveted prize.
