Conor McGregor is set to receive a record UFC purse of £3.8 million for his comeback fight against Donald Cerrone.
McGregor, 31, hasn't fought since his defeat to Khabib Nurmagomedov in October 2018, but he makes his eagerly-awaited UFC return on January 18.
He faces 'Cowboy' and the returning Irishman will make a career high purse of £3.8 million for his Las Vegas showdown.
'The Notorious' is in line to receive a guaranteed record UFC purse, but he'll pocket a lot more through undisclosed pay-per-view points as he is set to earn a portion of the PPV revenue for UFC 246.
McGregor scooped a UFC purse of £2.3 million for his fights against Eddie Alvarez and Nurmagomedov, while taking home around £2.2 million for the Nate Diaz rematch.
He's made a reported £9.1 million (without PPV points) in the UFC and tops the promotion's biggest career earners.
Meanwhile, McGregor is aiming to have three fights in 2020 having not fought in 2019.
And ahead of his UFC return, McGregor's coach John Kavanagh has praised his condition.
Jan 1st, last heavy spar today before going to Vegas. Can honestly say this is the best i've seen him and i wasn't sure that was possible to do 6 months ago. You guys are in for a real treat, i'm just glad to have a good seat! #UFC246
