Paige VanZant has shared with MMA fans a behind-the-scenes look at her tough weight cutting ahead of her debut in Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship.

The 26-year-old American star ended her run with the UFC in 2020 and signed a four-fight contract deal with BKFC last August.

And VanZant will make her debut with the promotion in the main event of BKFC 16 against Britain Hart on 5th February in Tampa, Florida.

The MMA fighter, who is no stranger to weight cutting, has now uploaded to her YouTube channel a vlog of her preparing for the Hart fight.

VanZant reveals that she picked up a portable sauna as part of her weight-cutting plans, along with training hard on her cardio and also water loading.

Speaking in the vlog, the ex-UFC star said: "So, I'm doing a progress video where you can actually see my weight cut every single day since I started dieting and I took a picture of my body every day since I started the hard diet portion.

"It's crazy to see how my body has transformed. [...] You'll see in there I get down to a specific weight pretty quickly and then I just get stuck, and then I just get stuck there for like four days."

VanZant fought nine times in the UFC and lost four fights before leaving Dana White's promotion.

The Bare Knuckle fighter lost in the first round against Amanda Ribas by submission last July at UFC 251.

VanZant has hit out at her critics and insisted that not a "single person who has said anything negative about me publicly has said it to my face."

'12 Gauge' told TMZ: "I feel like I have for the majority of my career, and I've been thinking about this, why have I kept my mouth shut so much about all the haters and the hate and the negativity I get?

"My idea is that if you talk s**t to somebody, then you should be willing to say it to their face.

"And not a single person who has said anything negative about me publicly has said it to my face.

"And I've seen these people in person."
