UFC President Dana White has hinted a potential rematch between Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov could take place in the United Kingdom.

McGregor's return to the Octagon last night ended in a convincing victory against Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone.

Following the fight, White revealed that a highly anticipated rematch between McGregor and Khabib will take place in the United States or London.

Per MirrorOnline, White said:

"There are many reasons it won't happen in Moscow. It will either happen in the US or in London.

"Unfortunately, Khabib is not a big Vegas fan after what happened to him here last time."

The lightweight champion vowed he wouldn't fight in Vegas again earlier this week after the fallout of his victory over 'Notorious' in 2018.

Speaking to BT Sport per The Sun, he said: "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.

"Everybody see what happen in Vegas, victory on my side, we smash him [McGregor], we smash all his team.

"I don't want to fight in Vegas anymore because they take his [McGregor's] money and they take my money - ten more times his money.

"This is not about money this is about how all process going, I don't want to fight in Vegas.

"If some great fights happens in Vegas I'm going to go and just watch, but I don't want to fight anymore in Vegas."

White also claimed that a rematch between McGregor and Khabib 'is the fight to make'.

"Every time there is someone out there fun, there's always someone fun who can fight Conor," he said.

"When you look at what makes sense, he [McGregor] had lots of personal stuff going into the Khabib fight. He has been obsessed with getting that rematch.

"Khabib is 28-0 and you have to start talking about legacy. After tonight and after the first fight, we're looking at Hagler-Hearns, Ali-Foreman.

"This is a massive fight with global appeal. This is the fight to make. Masvidal doesn't have a world championship... Khabib is the fight to make."

A fight in England would be a first for McGregor in his UFC career.

Khabib, meanwhile, has never fought in the United Kingdom.
