MMA Fighter Lands Incredibly Brutal Knockout Kick
Asiashu Tshitamba inflicted one of the must brutal looking KOs in MMA on Billy Oosthuizen but fans weren't convinced by his celebration .
The pair faced off at Extreme Fighting Championship's EFC 81 event on the weekend, which took place in Pretoria, South Africa, and the 27-year-old, fighting in his home city, landed an incredible knockout blow in the second round.
With just 12 seconds gone of the round Tshitamba landed a brilliant kick to the face, that flung Oosthuizen's head back, before finishing him off with a right hand.
However despite the impressive knockout the winners decision to celebrate by intimating putting two bullets in his downed opponent didn't go down too well.
One fan said, "I'm all for celebrating after a massive KOd but that one was a little too much. But that is just my personal opinion and I'm a nobody so who cares."
Another added, "Crazy technique, excellent KO, but I just can't stand the obsession with the "gun shot" or sometimes cutting throat celebration. Really can't distinguish the sport with the violence already deep in people's mind?"
A third added, "Gun visual not needed bruh."
Following the fight Graeme Cartmell, the EFC's Vice President for Talent spoke about the celebration. Talking to Business Insider, Cartmell said, "I've got the be honest with you, we take a stance that these guys are presenting their own images.
"And whatever they do will ultimately encourage fans to garner them in high regard or see them in the way a few people have seen them on Twitter.
"50% of the room are gonna go 'that was awesome' and take it like a cowboy reference to Billy The Kid, and others will say it's not the way to do it."
The win was Tshimbata's fourth in a row in EFC but he then lost in December to Sylvester Chipfumbu by unanimous decision.
The loss means the South African has fallen back down the pecking order for a title challenge against current champion Faeez Jacobs.
