Conor McGregor allegedly 'exposed himself' to a married woman at a bar in Corsica, leading to his arrest last Friday night.

It was reported on Saturday that McGregor had been arrested in the French region of Corsica and kept in custody overnight on Friday, before being released.

A statement by prosecutor merely said that the complaint claimed "attempted sexual assault and sexual exhibition" by the former two weight UFC champion.

Local broadcaster France 3 Corse, via the Mirror, claims to have spoken to a friend of the victim of the alleged attempted sexual assault.

The friend claims that McGregor 'exposed his private parts' to the married woman as she entered the the bar toilet and he is now awaiting results of a 'key physical test' and checking of the film evidence to find out if he will be re-arrested.

The French broadcasters report said, "According to a witness who spoke with the complainant that same evening and whom we were able to question, McGregor, accompanied by his bodyguards, allegedly exhibited his private parts to the young woman without her consent as she made her way into the bar toilets."

Despite being released without charge, the 32-year-old's criminal case is still ongoing. Another told France 3 Corse, "Key physical tests were carried out on the suspect, but the results will not be known until after the weekend

"These tests are of a routine nature following incidents like this, but they take time, to make sure there is no doubt about them.

"It is also possible that the incident being complained about was filmed. It took place in a very busy place, where fixed cameras are situated everywhere.

"Lots of holidaymakers would also have been filming and taking pictures on their phones, so they also need to be spoken to."

A representative for the Irishman has denied the allegations, "Conor Mcgregor vigorously denies any accusations of misconduct," they told TMZ Sports.

"He has been interviewed and released."
