The former two weight UFC champion initially named himself as number two but found a way to promote himself to the top of his own list.

Conor McGregor has named himself as the number one 'MMA GOAT' because 'PED results' drop Anderson Silva from the top spot, according to the Irishman.

The former two weight UFC champion has never been known for his lack of confidence so it would come as no surprise if he listed himself high on the all time list of MMA fighters.

In a thread on Twitter the Notorious revealed Anderson Silva was his number one and put himself number two, 'if not tied 1,' but later changed his mind because of failed drugs tests for the legendary Brazilian, and others, to name himself as 'clear current No.1 MMA GOAT.'

Silva, George St Pierre and Jon Jones would be pretty high on most people's lists of the all time greatest MMA fighters, at leas when it comes to UFC.

Both Silva and Jones have had their issues with failed drugs tests but that hasn't stopped them being considered so highly.

Legendary Brazilian Silva has had a tough end to his career but during his peak defended the UFC middleweight title on 10 occasions.

Canadian GSP dominated the welterweight division during his career and after a four year break returned to win the middleweight title, before retiring.

Jones is still light heavyweight champion and, aside from controversy, has dominated the division for several years. 'Bones' has a running rivalry with heavyweight Francis Ngannou and could make the step up in weight at some point.

Despite winning titles at two weights it seems unlikely that most would include McGregor amongst the other three names.

The Notorious had a spectacular rise through UFC to beat Jose Aldo for the featherweight title and also beat Eddie Alvarez for the lightweight title but his loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov in 2018 has led many to ask questions about his greatness.

There has been talk about the 31-year-old staying at welterweight, the weight he fought Donald Cerrone at in January, and he could go after a title at a third weight.

If he were successful in doing so then maybe he'd have a good chance to be named amongst the greatest, right now it's not controversial to say Silva, GSP and Jones are probably above him.
