Conor McGregor's recent social media activity has a lot of people thinking he'll be appearing on I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here, and the odds have fallen.

The UFC superstar is waiting to find out who is next opponent in the octagon will be but he could have an opponent Down Under later this year, if the betting is to be believed.

McGregor's Instagram story showed him eating bees the other day and in turn fans have rushed to place bets on him joining 'I'm a Celebrity' and odds have fallen from 200/1 to 50/1.

Speaking to Goss.ie, BoyleSports spokesperson Sarah Kinsella said, "Conor McGregor could he heading Down Under if the latest betting is anything to go by.

"The UFC star is 50/1 from 200/1 to take part in I'm A Celebrity following his video he uploaded eating dead bees."

However, even at his new odds, the Irishman is far from the favourite when it comes to sports stars heading into the jungle with former boxer Ricky Hatton and ex Arsenal forward Paul Merson both at 1/3.

Frenchman Eric Cantona is 11/4 in the betting, controversial snooker star Ronnie O'Sullivan is 8/1 and footballers Ray Parlour and Ally McCoist are 9/1 and 10/1 respectively.

Sports stars have a decent record on the show with Phil Tufnell, Carl Fogarty and Harry Redknapp all having been crowned King of Jungle in previous years.

McGregor last fought in January at UFC 246, when he made his return after over a year out of action, with a stoppage win over Donald Cerrone in the first round.

The Notorious doesn't yet know his next opponent but in typical fashion the Irishman has called out several people, so he has options.

A trilogy fight with Nate Diaz has been talked about, a welterweight title shot against Kamaru Usman and a fight against Jorge Masvidal are all options at 155lbs.

At lightweight the 31-year-old could face either Justin Gaethje or Khabib Nurmagomedov, although the pair are more likely to fight each other for the undisputed UFC title.

Fans might be most excited by the prospect of McGregor facing UFC legend Anderson Silva, with the pair starting a bit of a war of words thanks to the Irishman's listing of the 'MMA G.O.A.Ts.'

Who do you think McGregor should face next? Would you like to see the former two weight UFC champion appear in the jungle? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
