When A Fan Asked Alistair Overeem To Punch Him In The Stomach

Sport fans dream of meeting their idols, usually for a picture or an autograph, but one fan took it too far when he asked Alistair Overeem to punch him in the stomach.
Why you'd ask for a former UFC heavyweight title contender to lay a glove on you is anyone's business but that's what one fan did when he met Overeem.
The 39-year-old was reticent at first but was soon convinced. Although he didn't quite give it everything he certainly hurt the fan, leaving him unable to speak.
The London born heavyweight made his UFC debut in December 2011 and handed Brock Lesnar his second defeat in-a-row, and his most recent loss in the octagon, with a first round TKO.
He lost his next two fights against Antonio Silva and Travis Browne but later went on a four fight winning run between 2014 and 2016.
During that run he beat Stefan Struve, Roy Nelson, Junior dos Santos and Andrei Arlovski and earned himself a shot at the heavyweight title against Stipe Miocic.
His title fight at UFC 203 was finished in the first round by Miocic but Overeem has won four of his last six fights and could earn himself another crack at Miocic, who has won the title back after initially losing it to Daniel Cormier.

The former DREAM heavyweight champion was due to face Walt Harris at UFC Fight Night on December 8th at the Capital One Arena, Washington DC, but Harris had to pull out of the fight.
The 36-year-olds stepdaughter, Aniah Blanchard, went missing on Thursday October 24th and the UFC star has pulled out of the fight as he continues the search for her.
Instead Overeem will be facing Jair Rozenstruik. The Suriname fighter took his UFC record to 3-0 over the weekend at UFC 244 when he beat Arlovski in just 29 seconds.
A Surinamese titan with a name as gaudy as his bombing strikes, Jairzinho Rozenstruik (9-0) planks the legendary Andrei Arlovski in 29 seconds! "Bigi Boy" has iced all 3 of his UFC foes and 8 overall, each by T/KO and 7 in round one (3 of his last 4 in under 30 seconds). #UFC244 pic.twitter.com/9L2fJOiNVU

Rozenstruik is likely to give Overeem a few more problems than that fan...
