Joe Rogan has defended Jake & Logan Paul - claiming the duo are 'legitimate tough guys' with an athletic background.

The two brothers made their name on YouTube but have transitioned over to the world of combat sports, specifically boxing.

Logan is set to face Floyd Mayweather on February 20, while Jake is on a one-man mission to fight Conor McGregor.

UFC commentator Rogan discussed the pair on the latest episode of the Joe Rogan Experience and he said about Jake: "Dude, he's good. So is his brother [Logan]. We played a video of his brother wrestling Paulo Costa, his brother is f***ing legit.

"He's a legit athlete. He wrestled in college.

"You've gotta give credit where credit is due. I know those guys like to troll. But Jake and his brother are legitimate tough guys, they're tough."

When asked about fighting Jake, Rogan replied: "He'd probably f**k me up, he's a good boxer.

"If I was a younger man, maybe kickboxing but I can't get through a workout without being in pain now."

Logan's fight with Mayweather looks to be quite civil and both men are keen to put on one of the biggest fights ever.

Jake, meanwhile, has gone a much more personal route with UFC megastar McGregor, personally insulting the Irishman and even his fiancée.

The younger Paul brother has been lambasted by senior Logan, who called Jake 'f**king dumb.'

"I love Jake, obviously, but this one is f***ing dumb. Sorry, sorry, this one is f***ing dumb, dude," the 25-year-old said on his podcast after watching his callout video.

"Conor McGregor is a southpaw, he's bigger than Floyd Mayweather, he's younger than Floyd Mayweather," Logan explained.

"He's way active. I understand what you're saying, so did everyone else, but he's just a precision striker, knockout artist.

"Floyd is not. He's just not. He's older, everyday he gets older, everyday I get better.

"I understand the discrepancy between us."

Do you think the Paul brothers have earned their tags as 'legitimate tough guys?'
