After recently tweeting that he'll fight anyone, anytime on twitter, Masvidal recently tweeted again showing a video of him training captioned:
"Not a boxer. A fighter."
Canelo Alvarez's original statement came when asked about a potential crossover fight with Masvidal:

"I say this with all respect: If I go into his sport, I have nothing to do there. And I think the same about boxing: If (MMA fighters) come into boxing, they have nothing to do here."
"But looking at it from a business standpoint, it is attractive, but it's not a challenge for me, so it's not my priority."
This is now the third time Jorge Masvidal has responded to Canelo Alvarez with the UFC fighter saying that he was a much better athlete than Alvarez.

"I consider myself 10 times the athlete [Alvarez] is just because of MMA in general."
"All the strength, speed and power you have to generate - to throw one kick is like throwing 10 right hands. That being said, there's still an element that I could put his a** to sleep, maybe I don't hit harder, but I'm definitely bigger."
