Often the best way to find a winner is to pay close attention to the horses attracting support in the morning as clued up punters make the most of whispers from owners, trainers and other connections. We've scoured the markets for you, flagging today's best backed runners around the country. If you fancy a bet, be quick as these prices often continue to shorten until post time.

Read on for the biggest market movers on Thursday's racecards.

MAC N CHEESE - 17:40 Perth - Top price of 7/2 with Unibet - stake refunded on your first bet up to £30 if it loses (terms apply)

Trainer Keith Dalgliesh is a shrewd operator and it often pays to follow when one of his runners is well supported in the market. The Carluke-based handler saddles MAC N CHEESE in the 17:40 at Perth this afternoon, and the lightly raced seven-year-old has been smashed off the boards from 11/2 into as short as 3/1 in places.

MAC N CHEESE was last seen on the racecourse winning over hurdles at Wetherby back in November 2015, and makes his debut for the yard today having previously been with Rose Dobbin.
Dalgliesh historically has done well with horses returning from lengthy absences and it's interesting the money has come for his charge on his return to action.

HELLO BERTIE - 15:55 Perth - Top price of 15/8 with Unibet - stake refunded on your first bet up to £30 if it loses (terms apply)

Malcolm Jefferson sends HELLO BERTIE over hurdles for the first time today in the 15:55 at Perth following two placed efforts in bumpers earlier in the year. Both of those races have produced subsequent winners and it could prove telling this Kayf Tara gelding has been well supported into as short as 7/4 from 9/2 now tackling obstacles for the first time.

ORMESHER - 14:20 Pontefract - Top industry price of 9/4 with Unibet - stake refunded on your first bet up to £30 if it loses (terms apply)

Donald McCain isn't known for this flat runners but the handler has sent out six winners on the level this year and ORMESHER has been well supported to add to that tally in the 14:20 at Pontefract this afternoon.
The gelding was the yard's first two-year-old runner when finishing second on debut at 40/1 back in August but wasn't as good when encountering heavy ground two-weeks ago.
Back on a better surface today it's easy to see why ORMESHER has been backed into as short as 2/1 from 15/2.
