Sheffield Wednesday have faltered a bit lately and will be looking at Friday's trip to struggling Wigan Athletic as the ideal platform to reignite their play-off chances.

The Owls have won just one of their last five Championship games, a 2-0 win at home against fellow play-off contenders Huddersfield Town. They have managed to find the net in fourteen of their last fifteen away Championship matches, scoring fifteen times whilst conceding seventeen.

Wigan, on the other hand, have the worst home record in the division. Having accumulated just twelve points at home, none of those coming against a team currently in the top six.

The real value comes through backing the Wednesday win at 31/20 in what should be a game to help them get back on track.

Given that each team has strengthened their attacking line ups during the January transfer window an attacking game should be expected. Both teams to score can be backed at 37/40.

Wednesday have one of the best strike forces in the Championship and new signing Jordan Rhodes will fancy his chances of opening his account against a relegation threatened Wigan. To score at any time 85/40 represents great value.

The Latics have bolstered their attacking lineup through the acquisition of Grimsby Town's Omar Bogle. The former League 2 player will be eager to prove his worth in the Championship with a debut goal and can be priced at 13/5 to score at any time with BetVictor.
