Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Sergio Aguero and Eden Hazard are currently leading the Golden Boot race with seven goals after the opening 11 goals.

However, Harry Kane, Raheem Sterling, Sadio Mane, Glenn Murray, Richarlison and Callum Wilson only trail them by a goal.

Manchester City striker Aguero is 11/4 favourite to pick up the award come the end of the season and manager Pep Guardiola must be praying that the Argentine can stay fit for the majority of the season as he aims for another Premier League title.

Tottenham talisman Kane is second favourite to claim the award, the Englishman arguably hasn't even hit his best form yet and is only one goal behind the front-runners.

Liverpool hero Mo Salah broke the record for most goals in a season last term as he found the back of the net 32 times for the reds.

Salah has bagged five times in 11 games so far this season and is third favourite to retain the prize come the end of the season at 11/2.

Current leaders Aubameyang and Hazard follow at 7/1 and 17/2 respectively.

Aubameyang has been a key player for Arsenal in their impressive run of unbeaten games, while Hazard has been Chelsea's star man as the West London side are one of three unbeaten sides in the Premier League this season, leaving them second in the season.

Sadio Mane is 18/1 to scoop the award and in-form Man City Winger Sterling, who bagged twice yesterday in his sides 6-1 win over Southampton, is 25/1

It is unlikely that Murray (50/1), Wilson (25/1) and Richarlison (33/1) will be able to keep with the likes of Aguero and Kane come the end of the season.

Meanwhile, Wilson is hoping his recent performances for Bournemouth will earn him a place in the upcoming England squad.

The 26-year-old played under Gareth Southgate at Under-21 level and it is believed England assistant manager was at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday as he bagged his seventh goal of the season.

Speaking about the possibility of a call-up, Wilson said: "I don't want to talk my way into the squad. I want to play my way in and focus game-by-game her for Bournemouth."
