A Paddy Power customer has landed a £340,000 windfall tonight, after their £4 football bet came in.

The bet, placed in Ireland, was for €5 - scooping a windfall of just over €380,000.

The mystery punter bet on seven games where they thought both teams to score, and could correctly identify the result.

They picked Premier League draws in the games between Everton and West Brom, and West Ham and Bournemouth - with both games ending 1-1.

The lucky bettor also boldly backed three away wins, including Blackburn's - which was sealed with an 83rd minute winner by Richard Smallwood.

While the selections contained SIX goals which came in the last twenty minutes, as the ambitious accumulator landed, despite having odds of more than 70,000-1.

Spokesman Paddy Power said: "Fair play to this customer, they've proven that seven really is a lucky number - especially with the number of late, late goals that flew in.

"Looking back at the bet, it's the best seven-piece since Rachel Stevens' old band."
