Champions again?

Anonymous

Shock title winners last year, it is safe to say that nobody is expecting the same from The Foxes again this time around.

However the bookmakers relegation favourites from last season have already proved us all wrong once, so can they do it again?

Ron-Robert Zieler (Hannover 96 - £2.98m), Luis Hernandez (Sporting Gijon - free), Bartosz Kapustka (Cracovia Krakow - £7.65m), Nampalys Mendy (Nice - £13.18m) and Ahmed Musa (CSKA Moscow - £16.58m)

Players Out

Mark Schwarzer (released), Andrej Kramaric (Hoffenheim - £8.50m) and N'Golo Kante (Chelsea - £30.43m)

Season Preview

Leicester City's season could depend heavily not only on the new players brought in to cope with the addition of Champions League football, but also the players that they manage to keep.

The loss of N'Golo Kante is undoubtedly going to be a huge one and with Mahrez heavily linked with a move away from the club - just how would Leicester cope with the loss of another key star?

There is still a huge amount of optimism from fans in an around the city. For the first time ever, Leicester City fans will witness European football at The King Power stadium. An exciting time for all foxes.

No doubt made even more exciting by the fact that their talisman, Jamie Vardy, has agreed to stay with the club. Despite being linked with a move to Arsenal prior to Euro 2016.

Ranieri has made some key additions to their squad. Replacing Kante with a similar asset in Mendy, signed from French side Nice. Another vital signing comes in the form of Ahmed Musa. Leicester are undoubtedly known for their counter attacking football. Musa and Vardy up top has potential to be electric and could well be an even more formidable strike-force than that of last season.

Another key signing for Leicester fans to be excited about is 19 year-old Polish sensation, Kaputska. Kaputska featured in Euro 2016 and his displays may well have earned him his high profile switch to the Premier League. He definitely has the ability to dribble and has an eye for goal, so I'd advise you all to watch the space on this one!

So what can we expect from The Foxes this season? Claudio Ranieri has ruled out the possibilty of winning the title again, claiming that it would be "impossible".

However, he had this attitude throughout the whole of the last campaign, and we all know how that turned out. Realistically this season I think the addition of European football will be a fitness struggle for the squad but definitely an enjoyable one.

Leicester may have to sacrifice quality at times in Premier League matches in order to ensure that key players are fit for those big European nights. However that said; I'm backing Leicester for a top 8 finish.

I think the gulf in class will really shine through between themselves and the so called "bigger teams", but still an impressive season as far as Ranieri's men are concerned. They'll definitely be the ones to watch again.

Key Player

Riyad Mahrez - If Leicester can keep hold of the Algerian winger then they are definitely keeping hold of one of the best attacking players in the league, there is no doubt about it.

With a remarkable 17 goals and 11 assists last season, the silky winger saw himself pick up the 'PFA Player Of The Season' award, and deservedly so.

He and Vardy both scoring vital goals in order to guide Leicester to Premier League glory. If the "Algerian Messi", as some Leicester fans have dubbed him, can show form anywhere close to that of last season then the King Power faithful really are in for a treat.
