ODDSbible Rugby League: Super League Weekend Betting Preview

The International Break has thrown a real spanner in the works.

Our new Rugby League tipster, @1RLBETS, had an incredible start last weekend - nailing a 6/1 winner on the Super League.

This week, he's back with his predictions for the domestic action as well as the International games here.

Let's hope for another successful weekend.

Huddersfield Giants v Castleford Tigers - Thursday 8PM

Both teams come into this fixture on the back of two great results over the weekend. Huddersfield provided the shock of the round after beating Leeds 31-12 at the Headingley Carnegie Stadium and Castleford saw off title rivals Wigan Warriors 54-4 in front of a packed Mend-A-Hose Jungle.

Any other week I'd have banked on Castleford, but their success this year might somewhat falter them in this tie, as Daryl Powell is forced to make 5 changes to last week's 19-man squad; with Zak Hardaker, Luke Gale and Mike McMeeken set to miss out due to internationals, whilst Ben Roberts also misses out.

Therefore, I like Huddersfield on the handicap. The Giants only have Jermaine McGillvary out on international duty and I fully expect both talisman Danny Brough and the exciting Jake Mamo to take full advantage of the absentees in the Tigers squad. Moreover, Castleford have struggled at the Kirklees stadium recently, only winning once there since 2010. Back Huddersfield +14 at 10/11.

Warrington Wolves v St Helens - Friday 8PM

Another Friday night cracker to look forward to this week as Warrington Wolves take on St Helens at the Halliwell Jones stadium.

Both sides have been hit by the internationals, but I feel Warrington may feel the pinch a bit more than the Saints. Kevin Brown, Chris Hill and Stefan Ratchford all miss out for the homes side, whilst there will be late fitness tests for Daryl Clark and Joe Westerman.

The Saints on the other hand, despite being without Alex Wamsley and in-form centre Mark Percival, look to be in a better position for this game. The partnership between Theo Fages and Marty Smith looks strong and Tommy Makinson is in good form. I think they'll cause the Wolves defence problems on Friday, and considering the Saints have won seven of their last 10 at Warrington, I like them to go well here. Back St. Helens +2 at 10/11.

Catalan Dragons v Leeds Rhinos - Saturday 5PM

This is another game that's televised this weekend, as the Leeds Rhinos travel to the south of France to take on the Catalan Dragons.

I'm expecting this one to be a tight game and, naturally, both sides have key players missing. It looks like Leeds are worse off than Catalans though, with local media certain that the trip to France has come at the worst possible time. Both Kallum Watkins and Ryan Hall miss out for the Rhinos.

Dragons have the home advantage here and are more than capable of dominating Leeds with a fully fit Greg Bird back in contention. Back Catalan Dragons -4 at 10/11.
