ODDSbible Racing: Saturday Preview From Ascot, Newmarket And More

It's a huge day of action.

Plenty of racing on Saturday which includes the feature race of the day, the G1 King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes.

Here are Danny Archer's selections...

2:25: Ascot: Century Dream 4/1.

On an upward curve following two straight wins and mile trip seems to suit.

3:00: Ascot: Fastnet Tempest 15/2 Each Way and Remarkable 11/1 Each Way.

Fastnet Tempest followed up his Victoria Cup win with Chester victory before meeting trouble in running in the Royal Hunt Cup. He relishes Ascot and his mark still looks workable.

Remarkable seems to enjoy Ascot and his second at Newbury last time was creditable. He can play a role if that race hasn't left its mark.

3:35: Ascot: Jack Hobbs 5/1.

Already advised in my King George video preview, I think the ground could play a major factor and that is really in his favour here. If he runs anywhere up to the standard of his G1 Dubai Sheena Classic form, then he is entitled to go close.

5:20: Ascot: Royal Associate 3/1.

Knuckled down well to tenaciously land the spoils at Doncaster on debut. The fact that he was able to win first time out and show battling qualities is a huge benefit for the future and he should have learnt plenty from that experience.

2:00: Chester: Big Time Maybe 4/1.

I'm willing to give Tom Dascombe's charge one last chance as he ran a fine race on debut and was hampered last time out. He has been gelded since and that could be the making of him.

3:10: Chester: Original Choice 5/2.

Beat a decent yardstick at Thirsk last time and with the inside stall here, he looks a major player to follow up despite a 6lb rise in the weights.

3:45: Chester: What A Home 7/4.

Has been looking in need of step up in both races and should go very close here.

5:25: Chester: Desert Dream 11/2.

May have found ground too firm last time and the step up in trip and cheekpieces are interesting.

2:20: Curragh: Fleet Review 11/10.

Form of two runs to date is absolutely rock solid and a reproduction of those two efforts should see him score.

6:00: Lingfield: Duke's Girl 7/2.

Decent second last time at Haydock to a smart Godolphin sort and reproduction of that run could be enough.

7:30: Lingfield: Working Class 8/11.

Weak event and drop back to seven furlongs should suit.

3:40: Newcastle: Trick Of The Light 3/1.

Probably better suited by six furlongs. Mate of mine owns and they've been very happy with him.

4:00: Newmarket: Scorching Heat 7/1.

Been running consistently well of late and current mark does not look beyond him.

5:05: Newmarket: To Dibba 13/8.

Definitely has more to come particularly if he keeps straight in his races.

5:45: Salisbury: Saroog 9/4.

This yard had a maiden winner last night and following fine third at Newbury he should find more improvement.

7:45: Salisbury: What Wonders Weave 7/1 Each Way.

Ran well to finish third in handicap over shorter trip last time and this longer distance may eke out further improvement.

2:05: York: Battered 11/4 NAP.

Pretty disappointing at Sandown last time but this lad likes the ground and is a course and distance winner.

5:35: York: Validator 3/1.

Impressive at Thirsk on second start before just being pegged back at Sandown. Looks to have more to offer here.

Danny's Daily Win Double:

3:10: Chester: Original Choice
5:45: Salisbury: Saroog

£10 returns £105.60
