Friday.

A couple of tough days at the office for us recently but that is racing for you.

There are an astonishing seven meetings throughout Britain and Ireland on Friday.

Here are Danny Archer's best bets...

Ride like the Wind at Chepstow

1:50: Chepstow - Perfect Quest 11/8.

Won well on seasonal reappearance at Windsor by a short-head and a 6lb rise looks manageable.

2:50: Chepstow - Powerful Wind 5/2.

I am going to give Charlie Wallis's charge one more chance as he is blessed with so much natural pace and actually ran very well at Southwell last time. The eight-year-old sprinter is also a course and distance winner here and that stands him in good stead.

Look no further than Closer at Cork

5:35: Cork - Look Closer 2/1 NAP.

I was really impressed with the gelding's victory last month as he quickened up well in the closing stages to score easily.

6:35: Cork - Tamlough Boy evs.

Well punted this morning and this six-year-old son of Central Park finished a solid second at Fairyhouse last time. He has to cope with a step up in trip but he looks capable of gaining his first win.

7:45: Cork - Kalinite 12/1 Each Way (¼).

Hasn't blown up trees in maidens but switch to handicap company could see him in a better for a stable and jockey in scintillating form.

Julio to put on Presenting masterclass at Downpatrick

6:50: Downpatrick - Presenting Julio 15/8.

Has won a chase and now reverts to hurdles off a mark 14lb lower than his chase form. Entitles him to go well.

He ain't heavy, he's my Brother at Fontwell

5:55: Fontwell - Brotherly Company 13/8.

Ran very well actually in a very decent race at Haydock last time and that entitles him to running a big race here.

7:00: Fontwell - Old Harry Rocks 13/8.

Finished second over a shorter trip here and once headed again stayed on, suggesting he will appreciate this stiffer test of stamina. Jumped like a stag throughout that event and despite needing to show a change of gear, he looks well placed to go well.

Arrow to hit Lingfield target right on Time

2:10: Lingfield - Willwams 6/5.

Richard Hannon's charge remains unexposed after just three career states and kept on tenaciously to score close home at Lingfield last time.

2:40: Lingfield - Time's Arrow 13/8.

Sir Michael Stoute's colt was an excellent second at this track last time and with normal progression expected, he should go close.

4:10: Lingfield - Bumptious 7/2.

Looked in need of the run on return to action last time and hopefully if the bounce factor does not play a problem, his current rating might underestimate him.

Atteq, Atteq, Atteq at Musselburgh

3:00: Musselburgh - Atteq 6/5.

Richard Fahey's charge remains ahead of the handicapper here by the looks of things after a facile success at Beverley last week and he is taken to follow up.

4:30: Musselburgh - Tadaawol 15/8.

One more chance has to be given to Roger Fell's gelding who looked the likely winner at Doncaster last time but was narrowly beaten. Looks to have the best current form on offer in the race and has to run a big race.
